Advertiser card > Home

The Home tab of the Advertiser card displays all basic information about the advertiser including the name and advertiser ID which is auto-assigned by CAKE and cannot be changed once assigned.

This tab houses two sub tabs: 1) Info 2) Tags.

Advertiser card > Home > Info

Name: The name of the advertiser - this can be edited at any time.

Status: There are 3 statuses for an advertiser: Active, Inactive or Pending. An active status is the only status of the three that allows traffic to be sent to an offer. The other two, while representing different stages, will prevent any traffic from being sent to an offer.

Manager: This field allows you to associate a specific employee as the manager of this advertiser, and all offers underneath that advertiser.

Billing Cycle: This is the billing cycle for the advertiser.  Options are Weekly, Bi-Monthly and Monthly. If weekly is selected, the start day for the week refers back to your billing settings.

Quickbooks ID: If using the Quickbooks online integration for accounting, this field is mapped to the advertiser's Quickbooks ID

Website

Address Information: you can enter your advertiser's website and mailing (or billing) address (Street, City, State, Zip and Country). If you see a red text box as displayed above, there is a formatting issue. For example, most website or link fields in CAKE require the corresponding formatting beginning with http:// or https://.

Notes: Here you can add notes that will be stored on the History tab. Anything entered here is searchable using the search bar in the upper left corner of your instance.

Advertiser card > Home > Tags

The Tags sub tab allows you to add advertiser tags to allow you to group your advertisers in order to filter those stats specifically in reporting or to filter a list of contacts you want to email at once. Tags can also be added in the advertiser grid.

Advertiser card > Offers

On the Offers tab you'll see a list of all offers associated to an advertiser. The view displays the name, Vertical the offers are in, the status, preview link (Link), whether the offer is leveraging the SSL feature requiring all pixels to be secure, and creation and expiration dates.

You can search by name, add a new offer and export the list of offers from this tab as well.

Advertiser card > Events

The Events tab of the Advertiser card displays all active events. In the left-hand window you can:

1. Add new events by clicking the Add button

2. Click on All Events to see all inactive events

3. Reorder events by clicking the Order Events button. The three horizontal bars indicate that you can drag the events to reorder them.

Clicking on the event will open up the right-hand display where the details can be edited. Changes made here will not be saved unless the save button is clicked.  For a complete overview of how to setup Events, please see the Event Settings from our  "How to Track Events" article by clicking here.

Advertiser card > Blacklists

The Blacklist tab allows you to block an affiliate or subaffiliate from running traffic to a specific offer or all offers owned by this advertiser.

Offer: You can select All Offers or individual offers to blacklist the source from. If you select some but not all offers, you will need to add multiple rows.

Affiliate: Select the affiliate from this drop-down.

SubAffiliate: Enter a specific subaffiliate if applicable. The search will filter results by name as you type.

Reason: Select the blacklist reason from this drop-down. Please note that there are no reasons by default, and reasons must be added prior to adding a blacklist. To create blacklist reasons go to your main Setup tab > Reason Lists sub tab > Blacklist Reasons widget.

Type: Select the redirect destination for traffic sent from the blacklisted source. Options include: 404, your Global Redirect or the offer-level redirect offer.

Blacklist Date: Select the effective date for the blacklist. You can future-date this block.

Advertiser card > Suppression Lists

The Suppression Lists tab allows a user to upload hosted suppression lists (either by the advertiser or through a third party) in CAKE for affiliates to download when running the advertiser's offers. CAKE does not allow the files themselves to be uploaded. Instead CAKE links out to the URL where the files can be downloaded.

CAKE is integrated with 3 suppression management systems: UnsubCentral, Optizmo, and Ezepo. When using these systems, CAKE will open a link to the respective system from where the file can be downloaded.

Advertiser card > Voucher Codes

When you have Ecommerce enabled in your system you will see a Voucher Codes tab.  Please see here to read more about Voucher Code setup and implementation.

Advertiser card > Contacts

The Contacts tab will contain every contact for this advertiser. Contacts are not limited to 1 per account - you can add as many contacts as you like here.

In order for a contact to log in to the Advertiser Portal to view stats and pull pixels, they must have an email address (username) and password.

To add a contact click the Add Contact button and proceed through the wizard filling out the contact information

Advertiser card > Documents

The Documents tab allows a user to upload documents that are specific to the advertiser. Document types include: I.O., terms and conditions, W9/W8, credit references, posting documents, creative specs, invoices and finally an other for anything else. When uploading a document you can also specify whether documents should be visible in the portal.

Advertiser card > Credit

This tab only displays if the Advertiser Credit is enabled. Advertiser Credit is used to keep track of overall media spend and potentially limit traffic based on a monetary value instead of a volume amount and can be looked at as a type of advertiser cap. The Credit tab on the Advertiser card is where you are able to add advertiser prepayments displayed on the Home tab as the Prepaid Amount. Credit limits are entered on the Home tab > Info sub tab.

Advertiser card > Invoices

The Invoices tab will show an itemized list of bills generated for this specific advertiser.

You can generate an individual bill specifically for this advertiser on this tab using the Generate Individual Bills button. This view includes the following fields:

Billing Period: The date range of the bill.

Bill Amount: The total bill amount.

Sent Invoice: This column indicates whether or not you have sent an invoice to this advertiser. If sent, the message will display "Sent - 5/10/2014" with the corresponding date.

Received Payment: This column indicates whether or not you have received payment from this advertiser. If received, the message will display "Received - 5/10/2014" with the corresponding date.

Delete button: Clicking on the red button in the far right column allows you to delete the billing line item. It can be regenerated again using the Generate Individual Bills button.

Advertiser card > Storefront

A Storefront is the where you'll setup and configure your offers to leverage commerce intelligence.  Here in the Storefront tab, you can configure your product feed mapping CAKE to your product catalogue, configure your storefront categories, or create an order reconciliation file.

Advertiser card > History

The History tab shows a complete audit trail of any activity pertaining to this advertiser. The top most box is a plain text box where any notes can be entered. Anything entered here is searchable using the search tool. Below, in the grid, you will see the following columns pertaining to the history:

Summary: A brief summary of the action that took place

User: The user that made the edit or took the action. CAKE employees will display as 'Super Admin'.

Date: The date and time of event.

Hovering over the yellow note will reveal the specifics of the activity. Exporting this view is the easiest way to search for specific activity records.
