The Home Tab
The Home tab of the Advertiser card will prominently display the name of the Advertiser in the top left corner of the card. A breadcrumb hyperlink to the Account Manager will be displayed directly below that for ease of access.
Below the name and the account manager is the CAKE ID of the Advertiser. This ID can be used within API calls or within the search engine.
You can virtually login as the Advertiser to experience the Advertiser Portal by clicking on the "Login" button below the Advertiser ID.
To the right of Login, you will find the Generate Global Advertiser Pixel button, which will launch a wizard that enables you to generate an Advertiser Pixel, which is an alternative to individual Offer pixels.
The Home Tab: Info Tab
Name: The name of the advertiser - this can be edited at any time.
Status: There are 3 statuses for an advertiser: Active, Inactive or Pending. Unlike the status on an Offer or Affiliate, the Advertiser Status does not impact tracking. It is purely a status for reporting purposes.
Manager: This field allows you to associate a specific employee as the manager of this advertiser, and all offers underneath that advertiser.
Billing Cycle: This is the billing cycle for the advertiser. Options are Weekly, Bi-Monthly and Monthly. If weekly is selected, the start day for the week refers back to your billing settings.
Quickbooks ID: This is an informational field that allows you to map a Quickbooks ID to the Advertiser. This does not impact the CAKE Quickbooks Online integration. Only Buyers and Affiliates can be mapped to Quickbooks Online.
Website: This can be used to identify the advertiser's website.
Address Details: Use these fields to identify the billing address of your advertiser, that can be used with our Accounting module.
The Home Tab: Tags Tab
One or multiple tags can be applied to a single Advertiser. Tags can be used to group advertisers together for the purpose of editing advertiser details or aggregating reporting data by a tag.
The Offers Tab
The Offers tab will contain all associated offers to this advertiser.
Clicking the name of the offer will open up the Offer Card.
You can optionally add a new offer from this grid by clicking on the "Add Offer" button.
The export button will produce a CSV of all offers associated to the advertiser.
The Events Tab
The Events tab contains the Default Conversion and all available Conversions and Events for the advertiser.
Events can be used on offers to track additional actions beyond the Default Conversion.
Conversions and Events are configured on the advertiser, but can be modified on the offer and subsequently on the campaign.
To learn more about Events, read our Guide to Event Tracking
Only Conversions impact specific reporting metrics, such as Percentage, Paid and Earnings Per Click. Additional reporting columns can be added or modified to consider Events.
The Blacklists Tab
The Blacklists tab enables you to block or redirect traffic that is routing to this advertiser.
You can create a blacklist that impacts all offers for this advertiser, or a specific offer for this advertiser coming from a specific traffic source.
The type of blacklist enables you to send traffic directly to a 404 page, your Global Redirect (which by default is a 404) or to a different offer.
Blacklists can be immediate or future dated.
The Suppression Lists Tab
The Suppression List tab allows you to create a new email suppression list that can be applied to a specific offer or to all offers associated to the advertiser.
Suppression lists can be managed externally from CAKE, or can be managed through a native integration with Optizmo, Unsubcentral or Ezepo.
Note:
You must have a separate contract with Optizmo, Unsubcentral or Ezepo to leverage the integration.
The Accounting Tab
The Accounting tab includes all previously generated invoices for the advertiser. It functions in the same way as the Accounting module in that you can review past bills, mark invoices as "sent", mark invoices as "paid" and the ability to delete an invoice.
For one-off invoices, that may be contrary to the default billing cycle of your advertiser, click Generate Individual Bill, which will open a wizard that will guide you through the process.
The Contacts Tab
The Contacts tab includes all known contacts for the advertiser. You can add new contacts directly from this section of the advertiser card.
Contacts with an email address can access the Advertiser Portal to view reporting stats and generate pixels for offers that belong to them.
The Documents Tab
The Documents tab allows a user to upload documents that are specific to the advertiser.
Document types include: I.O., terms and conditions, W9/W8, credit references, posting documents, creative specs, invoices and finally an other for anything else.
When uploading a document you can also specify whether documents should be visible in the Advertiser Portal.
The History Tab
The History tab shows a complete audit trail of any activity pertaining to this advertiser.
The text box allows you to store any notes related to this advertiser, which are searchable in the CAKE search.
Hovering over the yellow note will reveal the specifics of the activity.
Exporting this view is the easiest way to search for specific activity records.
