What are Cookie Tracking Domains?
A tracking domain also referred to as a cookie domain, is a key component in the URL used within affiliate tracking links, conversion pixels, and lead posting URLs.
CAKE allows you to utilize multiple tracking domains to segment traffic across offers and affiliate campaigns.
How to Add a Cookie Tracking Domain to an Offer
Adding a cookie tracking domain to an Offer will ensure all tracking links and conversion/event pixels generated for the Offer will use that cookie domain unless an Affiliate or Campaign of this Offer has a different cookie tracking or redirect domain specified.
To add a cookie tracking domain to an Offer, follow these steps:
Click on the Attribution sub-tab of the Offer card Home tab
Click on the Cookie Domain dropdown
Select the name of the Cookie Domain you want to apply to this Offer
Click Save at the bottom of the tab
How to Add a Cookie Tracking Domain to a Campaign
Adding a cookie tracking domain to a Campaign will ensure all tracking links generated for that Campaign will use the cookie domain specified unless the Campaign also has a redirect domain specified.
To add a cookie tracking domain to a Campaign, follow these steps:
Click on the Cookies sub-tab of the Campaign card Home tab
Click on the Cookie Domain dropdown
Select the name of the Cookie Domain you want to apply to this Campaign
Click Save at the bottom of the tab
