How to Import Offers from Another CAKE Instance

Where to access the Import Offers tool (Admin Portal)

The import tool will allow you to import offers from another CAKE client, rather than setting the offers up manually from within your instance. Importing offers can be done from the Admin Portal, as well as the Affiliate Portal.

To access the Import Offers tool from your Admin Portal, hover over your Advertiser main tab > then Offers > and select Import Offers.

Once the wizard opens you will be asked for three pieces of information.

1. CAKE Domain: This is the domain of the CAKE client you would like to import the offer(s) from.
2. Affiliate ID: This is your affiliate ID in the other client’s system.
3. API Key: This is your API key from the other client’s system as well.

Where to get your Affiliate ID and API Key

When you log into the other CAKE client’s Affiliate Portal, at the top of your dashboard is a Reporting API button. Clicking that button opens a window where you can copy your Affiliate ID and API Key.

Import offers from external source

After entering the wizard information you will see a list of offers from the other client that you can import. Offers have several status options:

• Ready: Offer is ready for you to import.
• Public: Offer is public but must be run first before it can be imported.
• Apply to Run: You must request permission to run this offer before importing.
• Pending: Permission request has been sent and is awaiting approval.
• Imported: Offer has already been imported into your instance.

Select any “ready” offer by checking the box to the left and clicking the Next button.

*All offers imported at the same time must be imported under the same vertical. If your offers span multiple verticals, import them separately or change the vertical after import.

Import Offer Details (Admin Portal)

The final step of the wizard asks for specific import settings:

• Offer Status: How the offer should appear in your instance.
• Vertical: The vertical under which the offer(s) will be imported.
• Advertiser: The company you are importing the offers from.
• Default Payout: Desired payout for your affiliates.
• Offer Link Parameters: Parameters to append to all offer links (preview shown next to “Example”).
• Place Pixel: Automatically place your tracking pixel into the campaign card.
• Media Type: Allowed media types for the offer.

Click Finish to import the offer(s) into your instance.
