This article will cover the following:

- Setting up Anura within CAKE

- Where to add Anura credentials within CAKE

What Anura Does

Anura monitors and scores your traffic so that you can filter out fraudulent conversions/events in real-time before it is redirected to your Advertiser.

Integrating Anura Within CAKE

In order to leverage Anura scoring within CAKE, you must first add your Anura Instance ID to the Third Party Settings within your CAKE instance.

  1. Click on the Setup Main Tab
  2. Click on the Settings Sub Tab
  3. Click on the Third Party Integration Settings Sub Tab

On the Third Party Integration Settings page under the Fraud Settings section, please do the following:

  1. Select Anura from the Fraud Integration drop-down
  2. Add your Anura Instance ID
  3. Allowed Conversion Type: Select from the dropdown if you would like to score Conversions, Events and/or Both

  4. Click the "Save" button located at the bottom of the page

Offer Card Settings - Invalidate On Suspect

To set up Anura at the Offer Card Level, enable the "Anura Invalidate On Suspect" checkbox under the "Attribution" tab of the Offer Card. When setting up Anura on the Offer Card Level, traffic from all Campaigns associated to the Offer will be invalidated by the Anura integration.

If you do not wish to invalidate all Campaigns, but would prefer to set up Anura at a more granular level, please see Campaign Card Settings - Invalidate On Suspect section below.

When a conversion occurs and the "Anura Invalidate On Suspect" checkbox is enabled on the Offer Card, CAKE utilizes the Offer Level configuration for "Conversion Behavior on Redirect" to determine how payment to/from and Affiliate and Advertiser will be handled. If nothing has been configured on the Offer Card Level or if the "Conversion Behavior On Redirect" is set to "Default to Global Setting", CAKE will fall back to the "Conversion Behavior on Redirect" setting at the Global Level. The Global Level Settings can be found by clicking on the Setup Main Tab > Settings Sub Tab > Tracking Settings > Conversions.

Example: Conversion Behavior on Redirect (Offer) = "Ignore Conversion" and "Anura Invalidate On Suspect" checkbox is enabled, conversions that are deemed "suspect" will be ignored

Campaign Card Settings - Invalidate On Suspect

To set up Anura at the Campaign Card Level, enable the "Anura Invalidate On Suspect" checkbox under the "Info" tab of the Campaign Card. When setting up Anura on the Campaign Card Level, traffic from the specific Campaign where the "Anura Invalidate On Suspect" checkbox has been enabled will be invalidated by the Anura integration.

If you wish to invalidate all Campaigns tied to a single Offer, please see Offer Card Settings - Invalidate On Suspect section above.

Where Can You See "Suspect" Conversions In CAKE?

There are two reports in CAKE today where you can view what conversions have been identified as "suspect", the Fraud Report and the Conversion Report.

  1. Fraud Report

  2. Conversion Report

The Fraud Report is located under the Reports Main Tab > Stats Sub Tab > Quality Sub Tab > Fraud. You can also access the Fraud Report by clicking on the Channels Main Tab > Stats Sub Tab > Technology Sub Tab (located to the left of the graph) > Fraud Disposition.

The Conversion Report is located under the Reports Main Tab > Stats Sub Tab > Traffic Sub Tab > Conversions. You can also access a Conversion Report at a more granular level by clicking on a hyperlink under the "Conversions" and/or "Paid" columns.

Example: On the Master Campaign Report, when you click into a hyperlinked conversion from the Conversions and/or the Paid column, a more granular view of the conversion data will display in a mini Conversion Report.

Master Conversion Report

The Conversion Score column is not enabled by default in your CAKE instance. To add the column that displays Anura's disposition for invalidated conversions within your CAKE instance on the Fraud Master Report, Conversion Master Report and mini Conversion Reports, click on the "Edit View" icon > enable the Conversion Score checkbox > click the "Update View" button and/or "Create New View" button
