What Are Advertiser Sub IDs?
Advertiser Sub IDs are a feature in CAKE that allow you or your Advertiser (whoever manages the CAKE pixel) to track and report on up to 10 additional fields of information (meta data) with each conversion. The use cases are endless but commonly, this feature is used to gain more insight about the consumer and details of what they purchased. Optionally, this data can be shared with your affiliates in the affiliate portal and/or in any tracking pixels they have hosted in the CAKE system.
How To Add Advertiser Sub IDs Parameters To A Pixel
To add advertiser sub id parameters to the CAKE conversion pixel, follow these steps:
- Navigate to Offer card
- Click on the Pixel button
- Check the box for Include Advertiser Sub IDs
- Click Next
- Click to copy the pixel and provide to your Dev contact

Note:
Advertiser Sub ID parameters support 500 characters each. However, please know that browsers have limitations on character lengths and server requests to CAKE can only support a maximum size 2048 bytes.
How To View Advertiser Sub IDs On The Conversion Card
Once conversion tracking is live, the Conversion card in CAKE will automatically report the advertiser sub id values that were passed on each conversion. The values will be located under Conversion Information > Event Name tab.
