Exporting and Scheduling Reports in CAKE

This article will cover the following:

Exporting Report Data

Once you've run a report in CAKE, you can download the results as a CSV for use in a spreadsheet, billing system, or data warehouse.

1
Run your report first — set your date range, filters, and grouping, then click Run Report.
2
Wait for all results to load in the table. Do not export before the report finishes loading — the file will be incomplete.
3
Click the Export or Download button near the top or bottom of the results table.
4
Your CSV file downloads automatically. Open it in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet tool.
Tip:
If your export file is larger than expected, add at least one filter — offer, affiliate, or advertiser — to reduce the row count. Very broad reports can generate files with tens of thousands of rows.

Creating a Report Schedule

Scheduled reports run automatically on a cadence you define and deliver results to your inbox — no manual login required.

1
Go to Reports and select the report type you want to schedule.
2
Apply the filters you want to save with the schedule (offer, affiliate, advertiser, etc.).
3
Click the Schedule or Create Schedule button.
4
Choose a frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly.
5
In the Recipients field, enter one or more email addresses separated by commas. Recipients don't need a CAKE login.
6
Give the schedule a descriptive name — e.g. "Weekly Affiliate Summary — Brand X Offers".
7
Choose the file format (CSV for data analysis, PDF for sharing with non-technical stakeholders).
8
Click Save. The schedule is now active.
Note:
Scheduled reports deliver data at the moment they run. A weekly report sent Monday morning covers the previous week's activity.

Managing Existing Schedules

1
Go to Reports and look for Scheduled Reports or My Schedules in the sidebar.
2
You'll see all your active and paused schedules with their frequency, last run date, and status.
3
Click a schedule name or its Edit icon to modify frequency, recipients, filters, name, or format.
4
To pause a schedule, open it and toggle the status to Inactive.
5
To delete a schedule permanently, use the delete icon and confirm when prompted.
Caution:
Deleting a schedule is permanent. If you're unsure whether a schedule is still needed, pause it rather than deleting — you can always reactivate it later.
