Original Campaigns By Offer Contract
This feature is located under Setup, and Tracking Settings.
By default, the first Campaign for an Affiliate and an Offer is considered Original and any additional Campaigns for the same Affiliate and Offer, despite Offer Contract or Media Type, is considered non-original and a duplicate Campaign where the Affiliate's tracking links are identical. The only way for CAKE Basic to distinguish the two is by having exceptions based on SubID's (s1) or Creative ID's to tell CAKE Basic when to track clicks and conversions under 1 Campaign vs. the other.
If Original Campaigns by Offer Contract is enabled, Campaigns created for an Affiliate with different Offer Contracts will be Original. So if you had 2 Campaigns for an Affiliate and Offer but for different Offer Contracts, they will both have unique links and they can both be run with no exceptions.
- Once this feature is enabled, the Offer Contract on a Campaign CANNOT be changed.
- By default, this feature is disabled.
If Original Campaigns by Media Type is enabled, Campaigns created for an Affiliate with different media types will be Original. So if you had 2 Campaigns for an Affiliate and Offer but with different media types (say banner and email), they will both have unique links and they can both be run with no exceptions.
- Once this feature is enabled, the media type of a Campaign CANNOT be changed.
- By default, this feature is disabled.
